About us
The Cyber and Fraud Hub is Scotland's only charity that works closely with the banking industry, policing, and technology partners to support individuals who have been affected by online scams or fraud. Through our free telephone helpline, we provide proactive and preventative support and advice to individuals and our online resources make individuals aware of current scam and fraud trends. We support vulnerable groups through helpful resources and hosting informative events to enhance their protection. We collaborate with our partners to help amplify the messaging around cyber security and enhance cyber resilience across Scotland.
What difference will you make?
We are seeking new Trustees to join our Board, bringing constructive challenge and alternative perspectives. The ideal candidates will have expertise in: banking/finance, professional fundraising, marketing or general business leadership. We welcome candidates from various sectors and industries to help support and deliver our mission: to support those effected by scams and fraud by empowering them through education and guidance. Previous Trustee or Non-Executive experience is not necessary. These are non-remunerated positions.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the vision, mission and values of the organisation.
Contribute to direction, strategy and planning.
Ensure the organisation has the structure and resources for its work.
Ensure the organisation has policies and procedures to govern organisational activity, including guidance for volunteers and staff.
Ensure the organisation has systems for reporting and monitoring.
Manage risk and ensure compliance and accountability with the governing document, external regulators and the law.
Make certain that the financial affairs of the organisation are conducted properly and are accurately reported.
Attendance at quarterly governance meetings, either in person or online.
