About us 

Established in 2024, the Cyber and Fraud Hub is Scotland's only charity that works closely with the banking industry, policing, and technology partners to support individuals who have been affected by online scams or fraud. We operate a free, in person telephone helpline providing advice, guidance and support to assist individuals at their time of crisis and make individuals aware of current fraud and scam trends. We support vulnerable groups through the provision of helpful online resources and hosting informative events to enhance their protection. We collaborate with our partners to help amplify the messaging around cyber security and enhance cyber resilience across Scotland. We are a small, friendly, and effective team looking to enhance our fundraising opportunities.  It is an exciting time to join our organisation.   

What difference will you make? 

In this newly created role, designed to lead and support fundraising activities, you will play a key role in recruiting, coordinating, motivating, and supporting volunteers in raising those all-important funds. You will lead volunteers in a variety of fundraising events and campaigns raising much needed funds to help us continue with our charitable activities. You will also support by sourcing and applying for funding opportunities and building relationships with donors. By helping us maximise our income you will have a direct impact on the services we can provide and the benefits we can deliver to our service users by enabling us to achieve our mission: to support victims of scams and fraud by empowering them through education and guidance.

What will you be doing? 

You will oversee the recruitment of a team of volunteer fundraisers. Support and encourage volunteers who want to participate in fundraising activities. Working alongside other volunteers and staff to identify fundraising opportunities and plan fundraising events. Co-ordinate and delegate key tasks prior to and at fundraising events. Maintaining records from fundraising events. Encouraging others to promote a positive and professional image of the Cyber and Fraud Hub.  

Desired Skills and Experience

Background in the financial or charity sector, Fundraising, Knowledge of national fundraising opportunities
